Harry was born in 1924 in Holborn, London to Alfred and Hannah née Silverstone. Harry had one sister named Rita. Harry married Debbe née Fleischer in 1943. Harry’s father Alfred worked as a ladies tailor and volunteered as an ARP Warden in Bethnal Green, and his mother Hannah was the owner of a tobacconist shop. Harry’s wife Debbe remarried in 1946 and had two children.

Harry was an air gunner in Lancaster PB802 which took off from RAF Mildenhall on a bombing and cross country training exercise. The aircraft dived into the ground 2130 hrs at Harling, about 8 miles ENE of Thetford, Norfolk. All the crew were killed.
